“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Porsha Williams was arrested for speeding with a suspended driver’s license in Atlanta on Monday. According to TMZ, the reality star drove 78 mph in a 55 mph zone. She was released after posting a $1,726 bond.
However, in a statement to Dish Nation, Porsha claimed she has a valid license. She explained:
"I was headed to visit my grandfather who is very ill with cancer in the hospital, and I was pulled over. I was wrong for speeding absolutely and apologize for putting anyone at risk. I tried to explain the situation to the officer and show him that all my paperwork was in order, but he refused. Handcuffs are not comfortable or a good look for anyone. I was released, I have my license, my car, and my freedom."
In April, Porsha turned herself in to authorities at Fulton County Sheriff's Office after a warrant for her arrest was issued for attacking her co-star #KenyaMoore at the show's reunion show in March. She was charged with a simple misdemeanor battery and later released after posting a $2,000 bond.
