On Saturday, hackers released another batch of emails from Sony Pictures Entertainment, in which Sony's co-chairwoman Amy Pascal and her fellow execs thrashed Leo DiCaprio and Will Smith and #JadaPinkettSmith’s children.
In the emails, Pascal slammed DiCaprio in a series of emails in September, over his decision to pull out of the upcoming #SteveJobs biopic. Producer #MarkGordon wrote to Pascal on Sep. 18, saying: “Was this about the deal… or did he just change his mind.”
Pascal replied: “The latter.”
Gordon said: “Horrible behavior.”
Pascal agreed, saying: “Actually despicable.”
In another e-mail exchange in January, #GeorgeClooney got considerably better treatment from Pascal. The actor, who was having confidence crisis over bad reviews for his film “The Monuments Men”, wrote to Pascal on Jan. 29.
“I need some protection from all the reviews,” he wrote. "Let’s just make it a hit. I haven’t slept in 30 hours. And it’s 7 am.”
Pascal replied: “We will protect you by making money… that’s the best revenge.”
But Clooney was still plagued by paranoia over the job he did on the movie. He wrote to Pascal the next day saying:
“I adore you Amy. You are literally the only person running a studio that loves film. I fear I’ve let you all down. Not my intention. I apologize. I’ve just lost touch… Who knew? Sorry. I won’t do it again.”
#WillowSmith and #JadenSmith are the youngest victims so far but this time, the bile came from Tom Rothman, the head of Sony subsidiary TriStar Productions.
Rothman took a swipe at the kids in an e-mail he sent to Pascal in November, after he read an interview in T magazine about Smith family’s unorthodox opinions on everything from public education to quantum physics.
Rothman wrote to Pascal: “1. Read this, 2. they r home schooled. Don’t let this family date your movies!!!”
