Bill Cosby's show in Hamilton, Ontario on Friday was disrupted by about 30 female protesters wearing "We Believe the Women" t-shirts. The women stood up during the show and yelled "we believe the women" but when security guards tried to escort them out, Cosby said: "Stop, stop, let them, let them, stop... let them have their say."
Some members of the audience showed their support for the comedian by saying "we believe the men" and "we love you Bill." However, one man later stood up and yelled:
"You're a piece of s**t. You rapist," to which the comedian responded, "Stop, no, no, don't do this." The heckler was escorted out by security.
Before the show, Cosby told the audience:
"Whatever happens here tonight if there's some sort of outburst, we just have to remain calm and things will be taken care of. It oughtn't last that long... I want to thank all of you here tonight because you stayed with what you believed in."
There were about 150 protesters outside the venue carrying placards, who were organized by the Woman Abuse Working Group. The previous day, hundreds of protesters also gathered outside the Bundweiser Gardens in London, Ontario during Cosby’s first show.
