Rosie O’Donnell and her wife Michelle Rounds have split after a little over two years of marriage. The 52-year-old actress and television personality has also decided to leave #TheView to concentrate on her family. On Friday, Rosie‘s rep told Page Six:
“I can confirm that Rosie and her wife Michelle split in November. Rosie has teens and an infant at home that need her attention. This has been a very stressful situation. She is putting her personal health and family first. ABC has been wonderfully understanding and supportive of her personal decision to leave The View. Next week will be her last.”
Rosie and Michelle secretly wed in New York in June 2012, not long after Michelle was diagnosed with a desmoid tumor, a rare disease for which she needed immediate surgery. Rosie also suffered a heart attack in August that same year.
The couple adopted a baby girl named Dakota the following year. Rosie has daughters Chelsea and Vivienne and son Blake from her first marriage to Kelli Carpenter, and son Parker who she adopted in 1995.
