Kanye West stormed the stage at the #GrammyAwards after Becks shocked everyone by beating #Beyonce to win the award for Album of the Year. The rapper tried to grab the award from Beck before thinking better of it and backing off. Even Bey and #JayZ looked mortified by Kanye's stunt. People thought it was a joke and Kanye was just mocking his 2009 stunt at the VMAs when he interrupted Taylor Swift's acceptance speech, but it wasn't. Things got heated backstage. Speaking to #KhloKardashian, who was reporting for E!, Kanye commented
on his actions during the show and slammed Beck and organizers of the event,
saying:
“If they want real artists to keep coming back, they need to
stop playing with us. We ain’t going to play with them no more… ‘Flawless,’
Beyonce’s video, and Beck needs to respect artistry and he should have given
his award to Beyonce. And, at this point, we tired of it. Because what happens
is that when you keep on diminishing art and not respecting the craft and
smacking people in the face.”
