Jennifer Lawrence reveals she planned to be a nurse if acting didn't work out

Jennifer Lawrence has revealed that she planned to become a nurse if her acting career failed. Speaking to Kelly Ripa on Friday’s Live! With Kelly And Michael, Jennifer said: ‘I actually had a five-year plan when I came out here to act. I was like, “I'll give it five years, and if that doesn't work, I'll go to nursing school.”’

The 23-year-old said admitted that when she’s feeling overwhelmed about her fame and constantly being recognized. ‘I still sometimes wonder if I made the right decision,’ she said. ‘In restaurants or airports, I'll sometimes wonder, mull it over.’ But Kelly reassured her that she might get to be a nurse on-screen someday, and Jennifer laughed while agreeing: ‘It’s the same thing.’

During her appearance on the show Jennifer talked about this year’s Oscars, and admitted she was so worried she’d be hungry like last year that she brought some Slim Jims along. As for what flavour, the actress said: ‘Hot and mild, because I didn’t know what kind of mood I’d be in,’ and added that she brought breath mints for afterwards. ‘I was like, “Yeah.” I can just imagine David looking at somebody mopping and being like, “Yeah, that's my next screenplay.”’

Jennifer was on the show to promote her new movie X-Men: Days Of Future Past, which is in cinemas now. To get all her blue body make-up done for the role, Jennifer said it took three hours – ‘down from eight’ – and the ever candid star revealed: ‘I have to pee out of one of those funnels. I stand up to pee.’ She also told Kelly about how doing yoga helped her to be nimble as Mystique, but most of the working out involved choreography with her stunt double.

The interview was pre-recorded as Jennifer is currently in Berlin, Germany to film for the final Hunger Games movie, Mockingjay – Part Two.
