Kanye West & Lamar Odom: Inside Their Secret Phone Call After Wedding

Lamar Odom may not be a part of Khloe Kardashian‘s family anymore, but that didn’t stop the former NBA star from calling Kim Kardashian‘s new husband, Kanye West, to congratulate him on their wedding and give him some helpful advice.

Lamar was not invited to the wedding of the century but he still found a way to make his presence known. The former basketball star was one of the first people to call Kanye, 36, to give him a few words of encouragement. And he was persistent too! A source said that he called four time and on he fourth call he actually got through and all Lamar said to Kanye was:

‘Hey, man, congratulations. Take care of Kim and the family, they’re all good people.’Aww, how thoughtful of Lamar! Kanye responded by saying, “Thank you” before getting off the phone to rejoin his beautiful new bride.

A source said that Lamar, 34, is still coming to terms with the fact that he’s no longer in a relationship with Khloe, 29. We’re told he misses the “connection” he had with Khloe and her supportive family and he would love to be surrounded by them now. “It’s no secret that Lamar misses Khloe and being around the family,” our source says. “He thinks they’re good people and they have embraced Kanye just like they did him when he was married to Khloe.” “They’re a family and they put each other first,” the source adds. “Lamar misses that connection he had with them because he didn’t grow up like that.”
