Macaulay Culkin roars back to the stage! #MacaulayCulkin

He's not had much luck on his UK tour so far after being pelted with beer and booed off stage. But something Macaulay Culkin certainly does have in abundance is resilience as he shrugged off the experience on Monday to head to Birmingham for his next gig with his Velvet Underground parody act The Pizza Underground. Fortunately for him, the Birmingham-based gig, played to a capacity crowd of more than 150, went off without a hitch.

The former child star looked to be roaring back to the stage as he rocked up at the Hare and Hounds venue in a tiger print T-shirt. The 33-year-old actor, who made his name in the Home Alone film franchise looked calm and collected as he got off his tour bus.

This comes after Macaulay reportedly stormed off stage as he played his first Manchester gig with The Pizza Underground on Friday night. He is said to have been pelted with plastic glasses as he performed with his Velvet Underground parody act in front of a projection of images of cheese and pepperoni. The final straw came when a crowd member interrupted his kazoo solo, according to Twitter reports. Culkin, 33, eventually returned to finish the set but the gig later ended abruptly as fans invaded the stage. Several people were kicked out of the venue, Zoo, on Grosvenor Street, venue as a result, with blogger Frankie Buttons later tweeting: 'Things that are cool: Macaulay Culkin. Things that are not cool: throwing glasses at Macaulay Culkin! Manchester, you disappoint me.'

Attendee Alessandro Lima, who was in the crowd, said: 'It was the weirdest thing I've ever watched. It was just bizarre.' Another audience member, Gina Burney, added: 'It was brilliant and kind of terrible too.'

Two years ago, he denied reports he was addicted to heroin but pals say his nicotine intake has increased over recent years. 'Almost every time I see him, he has a cigarette dangling from his lips and is puffing furiously. He's put his nicotine addiction into overdrive,' a source told the National Enquirer.

Macaulay lives with girlfriend Jordan Lane Price in New York City and they have been dating since last year.  He dated actress Mila Kunis from 2002 until 2010 and although their publicist said it was an amicable split, he seemed to be struggling in the aftermath. Mila has now moved with Ashton Kutcher and is expecting her first child with her former That 70s Show co-star fiance.
