It sounds like Jennifer Lopez (Jenny from the block) is hanging on a different block these days. Apparently, her first-ever homecoming concert in the Bronx on Wednesday night was not as successful as it was reported to be because her "diva behaviour" has upset locals, who showed their anger by boycotting her concert.
The locals claim their former home girl did not hangout with them at her former hood but stayed in Manhattan instead. “J. Lo definitely wasn’t staying in the Bronx,” an insider said “Instead, she got an apartment in Chelsea. She’s such a hypocrite.”
And her former neighbours seemed to agree. “She’s been making all this money on [the Bronx] but she doesn’t even help out the neighbourhood,”
Local Matthew McNally told the New York Post. “Most of the people I know think she’s a sell-out.” Justin McGinn added, ” . . . I don’t think she’s done enough for the community….[Locals] feel like she’s a sell-out and she took too long to come back.”
According to the N.Y Post, out of 25,000 free tickets issued, “well under half the expected number of fans showed up.”
