Chris Marting was spotted for the first time in Brentwood Country Mart, Santa Monica, Calif., on Monday (June 2), after he got a restraining order against a twitter troll over the weekend.
Chris and TV personality Rachel Riley both got a restraining order against a man named Anthony Wells after he sent hundreds of abusive messages to them on Twitter and he is not allowed to contact Chris for the next five years
“Mr. Martin indicated that a plea to the charge involving Ms Riley would be acceptable to ensure that Mr. Wells gets the medical help he needs and that he was content for us to not proceed in relation to the remaining charge,” prosecutor Punam Malhan shared. “Taking Mr. Martin‘s view into account, we decided it was no longer in the public interest to continue with the second charge of harassment.”
He added, “Everyone should be able to go about their daily lives free from harassment caused by someone deliberately making offensive, violent messages about them on social media.”
