The widow of Roger Rodas recently sued Porsche for the fatal accident that claimed the lives of her race car driver husband and actor Paul Walker, citing negligence as the cause of death. Kristine Rodas stated that the Carerra GT had a faulty part, and lacked a "crash cage" and "racing fuel cell."
Now, Porsche has filed a motion to have the case dismissed claiming Kristine failed to state exactly which part of the suspension failed, how it, or what, caused the crash and if that part was original or a customized upgrade. Porsche also claims Rodas' widow incorrectly called the Carrera GT a "racecar." As for the crash cage and fuel cell ... Porsche says "no ordinary customer would expect a passenger car" to have those things.
However, previously a Porsche exec stated that the car in question was "as close to a racecar as we will ever get" and that it also had "all the disadvantages of a racecar."
Hmm, sounds like someone is playing games with words.
