Ex-governor Arnold Schwarzenegger had denied intentionally poisoning prison inmates during his tenor as governor.
Schwarzenegger was sued by prisoners claiming he was indifferent and intentionally kept them in Pleasant Valley State Prison where they claim Valley Fever killed 30 inmates, and left many more with horrible symptoms.
Valley Fever is a disease that attacks the body's organs and leads to skin lesions, amputations and brain damage.
According to court documents, Schwarzenegger claims he is not personally responsible for the outbreak and even held a news conference acknowledging the problem but delegated the task of resolving the issue to staff who were capable of handling the problem.
In other words, he is saying he was not responsible and if the staff messed up then the State should be blamed.
