Lil Twist has had a lucky escape…this time. A district attorney has rejected his DUI case because the weed in his system at the time of his arrest was not high enough to indicate impairment.
Cops stopped Twist about a year ago for over speeding and jumping a red light. On searching the car, cops found a partially lit joint in his car and they also noticed his eyes were bloodshot and his speech was "deliberate and lethargic."
Twist, who later admitted he'd been smoking, failed a field sobriety test because he couldn't touch his nose, couldn't walk a straight line, and swayed when he tried standing on 1 leg.
Now, the D.A said that the police waited an hour and 46 minutes before taking a blood sample and his field sobriety results were only "moderately bad." Also, the senior criminologist couldn't prove that Twist was too stoned to drive.
As a result, Twist got off with three tickets for speeding, failing to stop at a red light and possession of less than 1 oz. of weed.
