Madonna, who previously skipped jury service using a doctor's note on Memorial Day, was sent home from jury service at a New York City courthouse on Monday, because her presence would have caused a distraction in the jury selection process.
First of all, Madonna showed up an hour late, with three policemen, two bodyguards, two court officials and an assistant. She was wearing a black suit, black sunglasses, scarf and two heavy metal chains which set off the security system. Fortunately, a female security officer let her through after scanning her chest with a handheld detector.
And instead of waiting with other jurors in the jury assembly room, the diva was allowed to wait in the head clerk’s office. Two hours later, court officials asked her to leave as they already had enough jurors to fulfill their needs.
Later that day, Madonna shared a photo from the courthouse on her Instagram account, which she captioned
“Serving my country! Reporting to jury selection! #itshotinhere.”
