An inquest into the tragic death heard of Peaches Geldof was told that she was a heroin addict and took methadone for two and half years before her death. Peaches was found dead in her home in, Wrotham, Kent, on April 7. Today, the inquest concluded that her death had been drug-related.
Geldof had been having drug treatment two years before she died but her husband, #TomCohen found text messages in February which led him to suspect she was using drugs again. Tom told the hearing that he caught her flushing drugs she had hidden in their loft, down the toilet.
The inquest also heard that there was evidence of very high levels of codeine, methadone and morphine in her blood and 61per cent pure heroin was discovered at Geldof's home, as well as drugs paraphernalia including burnt spoons, cotton wool and a capped syringe hidden inside a box of sweets.
At the inquest, Cohen, said he had been attending rehearsals in London over the weekend of her death and when he spoke to her at 5.40pm on the Sunday, she was fine. However, on Monday morning when he was unable to reach her by telephone, he returned to their home and found her slumped on the bed in the spare room, with one leg hanging down to the floor and the other tucked
Cops are still hunting for the dealer who sold her the deadly batch of heroin
