President Obama cancelled a planned "Jimmy Kimmel" appearance on Wednesday because he didn't think he should do a comedy show right in the middle of two international crises.
When the news about Obama's appearance on the show broke, Kimmel's publicist claimed no such appearance was ever booked. However, the white house Press Secretary, Josh Earnest has now confirmed that the President had to pull the plug to deal "with more serious matters."
The show was scheduled to be taped at 3 PM on Wednesday at the El Capitan Theatre and the White House had already requested for the Social Security numbers and background checks for all El Capitan employees but Obama cancelled.
