#CourteneyCox and David Arquette have remained friends after breaking up in 2010 but he only found out about her recent engagement to Snow Patrol band member #JohnnyMcDaid from the press in spite the fact that she made the announcement via social media.
In an interview with RumorFix at The Imagine Ball in Los Angeles on Aug. 6, David said:
"I was not the first person [she called]. I was way down the line. I may have learned about it through the media. She's one of my favorite people in the world. I love her to death."
A week after Courteney got engaged, David also popped the question to girlfriend Christina McLarty, with whom he has a 4-month-old son.
David, co-owns the most famous nightclub in L.A called “Bootsy Bellows” and when RumorFix asked about how he was handling promoting nightlife and remaining sober. He replied:
"Well, I'm not sober, but it's very hard to. I haven't been able to be at my club that often since we had the baby because a baby takes so much attention and so much time, and so much clarity. It's hard if you want to be sober in the nightlife good luck. Go to a lot of meetings."
In 2011, David publicly admitted he had "serious drinking problem" and went to rehab after Courteney and his sister staged a surprise intervention.
