Uma Thurman covers Vs. Magazine’s fall/winter issue in which she talked about her career, dealing with the media and rumored boyfriend, Quentin Tarantino. The actress, who called off her engagement to French financier Arpad Busson earlier this year, has spent almost 30 years in the media's eye since her first British Vogue cover at age 15.
“I was discussing [the rumors] with Mr. Tarantino last night,” she admitted. “He was angry at me for not calling him back because, as he said: “According to the papers we are practically married!” and he laughed hysterically. “So our relationship is pretty much what it’s always been; people are just having fun with it.”“I think media is part of the career of an actor,” she confessed. “There is no career for an actor who is in some way not in the media, unless they are unsuccessful."
On her success as an actress, the mother of three children said:
“I've kind of been on a hiatus for a while, and I just started getting back to work right now. I had a baby and I also wanted to take a step back, and so I did. I think it’s important to have this time to take a step back, analyze things and just breathe.”
Thurman is currently filming with #BradleyCooper in the upcoming comedy, Adam Jones. The new issue of Vs. magazine hits newsstands in September and a short fashion film starring Thurman will be released soon on www.fashiontube.com.
