Sharon Osbourne revealed a shocking secret she had kept for 34yrs during Wednesday’s episode of “The Talk” show.
Apparently, after a night of drinking and partying Sharon, decided to slit her wrists with a steak knife, just to prove how much she loved her then-boyfriend, Ozzy Osbourne.
“I permanently scarred my wrist. I was on lockdown for being overdramatic and drunk at the time. This is a secret only Ozzy and I know, my children I have never told,” Sharon confessed. “I've never discussed it out of embarrassment of how stupid I was at the time to do such a thing to myself. I want to share this with everyone because it's a lesson learned. I learned a great lesson from this.”
“It's something that was done when I was 27. I was just going out with Ozzy at the time and we were working together and dating at the same time. He was married, had two children. I was free and single and wild. When we first got together, we would drink a lot together. We had a session, romance, drinking, partying."
“About four in the morning, he says, ‘How much do you really love me? I don't know if this relationship is going to last.’ And I'm saying to him, ‘I'd do anything for you. I absolutely adore you. I'd give my life for you.’ I'm very dramatic as you all know, and when I say something I like to follow it through. I'm like, "I'll show you how much I love you, I'd die for you."
“So I went to a room service table that was still in the room covered in fries and burgers and steak. And there was a steak knife. So I get the knife and I go, ‘I love you so much," slash, slash, slash on my wrist.’ Unfortunately for me, I kind of went too deep and it wouldn't stop bleeding. I said, ‘Dear, I think we need to call an ambulance.’ I got very sober very quickly.”
Sharon then went on to explained how the emergency medical technicians thought she'd attempted suicide in spite of her denials. She was taken to a psych ward and put on lockdown, the co-host made it clear that it was a mistake that no woman should consider doing.
"These scars are a big embarrassment," she said. "The scars don't go away. They stay with you…It's a reminder to us all."
Sharon is not the first co-host to reveal a shocking secret. On Tuesday, #JulieChen revealed that her grandfather was a polygamist.
"He had nine wives, six of who bore him children," she explained. "He had 11 children that we know of, countless mistresses."
