Life-Size Statue Of Late #AmyWinehouse Unveiled In London On Her 31st Birthday

A life-size statue of Amy Winehouse was unveiled in Camden Town, London on Sunday, on what would have been the singer’s 31st birthday. Amy died in 2011 from alcohol poisoning.

The sculpture, which stands at 175cm, was created by Scott Eaton and it will be a permanent memorial in Camden’s Stable Market. It also bares a striking resemblance to Amy, complete with high heels and her signature beehive hairdo. Her parents Mitch and Janis attended the unveiling and Mitch said:

“It is incredibly emotional to see Amy like this, but Scott has done an amazing job in capturing her. It is like stopping her in a beautiful moment in time. We really hope Amy’s fans love the statue.”
