Amanda Bynes was hospitalized at a treatment center in Pasadena, near Los Angeles on Friday and she’s currently being held on a 5150 psychiatric hold for 72 hours.
Earlier on Friday, she backtracked after accusing he father of sexually abusing her, saying her allegations were false and her rant was the result of “microchip implanted in her head by her father.
She then fled New York, fearing that her family would track her down but when she landed in Los Angeles and hired a car service to take her to a hotel, he took her to a hospital in Pasadena instead, at the request of her parent but she didn’t know that when she got into the car.
Amanda’s family lawyer was waiting with doctors at the hospital and she was hospitalized for 72 hours. Her parents will reportedly seek a 14-day extension and re-apply for a conservatorship.
Meanwhile, Amada’s brother and sister have lashed out at her for accusing their dad of physical and sexual abuse. According to TMZ, Jillian O'Keefe and Tommy Bynes spoke out on Friday via their lawyer, Tamar Arminak, saying:
"We are disturbed beyond words that Amanda would come up with such a fabrication as a way to avoid getting much needed help or treatment. Our parents are the most wonderful parents and we are pained by [Amanda's] behavior but we absolutely give our full unconditional love and support to our wonderful parents."
