In a new interview with Times 2, Lady Gaga opened up about her "awful" experiences earlier in her career and admitted that the men she worked with took advantage of her physically and emotionally. The singer shared her story to help upcoming stars understand that its unacceptable to feel pressured by men. She said:

"I've had really awful experiences with men in the studio. Made me very uncomfortable. I didn't feel like I was being cherished for my vocal talents but was seen more as someone to take advantage of."

When asked if their advances were of a sexual nature, she replied:

"Yes. And I don't have to elaborate, but when women who are in the business that are young read this article I hope (they realize) that you do not have to put up with that. And I hope to be an inspiration that if you're talented enough, you can work hard and achieve your dreams."

"It's very hard, this business, and there are a lot of sharks. I wish to set a good example. That's why I'm so honest, because I don't want to give this impression that this was handed to me on a silver platter. It was certainly not like that ... I'm certainly a feminist.”

"A feminist to me is somebody that wishes to protect the integrity of women who are ambitious. A feminist in my opinion is somebody that regards that women have strong intelligence and wisdom. That we are just as great as men - and some of us can be even better."

On her past addiction to weed, Gaga said:

“I was just numbing, numbing, numbing myself then sleeping it off, then getting on stage, killing it in pain, then getting off and smoking, smoking, smoking, not knowing what the pain was."

The entertainer said she sought help from #MarinaAbramovic, who ordered her to undergo an intense rehab and detox.

"Marina said, 'OK, you're coming to my house - no television, no computer, no marijuana, no nothing, no food. For three days, art only. You eat only art.'"

On relationship with her boyfriend, #TaylorKinney, she said:

“What has made me so happy with Taylor is that he fiercely loves me from the inside out. He’s very supportive of everything that I do. He’s the first man that I have dated that, when I sing onstage, he cries. That means more to me than anything.”

On her outlandish outfits, Lady G said:

“And he is completely blind to the way that I dress, my creative process as it is – he knows me as the Italian-American girl my mother and father gave birth” to.’

Meanwhile, it was reported earlier this week that Lady G and Taylor took their relationship to the next level by holding a “commitment” ceremony to prove how dedicated they are to one another. The couple hosted the event at Joan Tratorria, a restaurant in New York owned by her parents.
