Nina Pham, the first person to contract Ebola in the US, was released from the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center in Bethesda, Maryland on Friday after beating the deadly disease.
In a press conference held outside the hospital, the nurse, who contracted Ebola while treating Liberian Thomas Eric Duncan, thanked everyone for their prayers before she was transported straight to the White House, where she met with President Obama, who greeted her with a hug.
