On Thursday, a Manhattan Court judge told Bethenny Frankel to stop playing dress-up with your 4-year-old. The judge said Frankel had used poor judgment by sharing an Instagram pic of her wearing her daughter’s teeny-tiny Hello Kitty pajamas in July.
“No more pajamas!” Justice Ellen Gesmer warned Frankel’s attorney, Allan Mayefsky, in court.
Frankel’s lawyer tried to explain his client’s behavior by saying it was a joke but the stone-faced judge wasn’t laughing.
“It’s not a joke. Her child is not a joke,” said Gesmer, adding that the episode was “ridiculous.”
Frankel and estranged husband #JasonHoppy were at the Manhattan courthouse as part of their lengthy divorce proceedings. The Real Housewives star had tried to gain sole custody of her daughter but then settled after an embarrassing trial where she called Hoppy “white trash”.
Judge Gesmer said that her own concerned friends even called when they heard about Frankel’s photo. Gesmer also reminded Frankel’s lawyer that the image will live on the Internet forever.
