Documentary "Citizenfour", which is set to be release on October 24, has been billed as a "real-life thriller" that tells the story of Edward Snowden, the former NSA contractor. The chilling 90-second trailer was released this week and it wants you to know that you are being watch.
The clip begins with the doc's Oscar-nominated director #LauraPoitras, who was in a relationship with Snowden, reading a message from him. He started anonymously emailing her in January 2013, when she was working on a film about enhanced national security measures after 9/11. Identifying himself only as “citizen four,” he offered information on security abuses, which led to a series of on-camera interviews with Snowden in Hong Kong, where he fled after stealing the documents.
