Amanda Bynes‘parents Rick and Lynn are set to file legal docs to hand over the conservatorship of their daughter to a private trust, “who specializes in handling people with severe mental illnesses.”
They plan on moving to Texas to be near their older daughter and they believe that they don’t have what it takes to control Amanda. They hope that handing over control of Amanda's finances will lead to better relationship with their daughter.
On Wednesday, Amanda's conservatorship lawyer David Esquibias told Access Hollywood that he would work with the private trust to make sure that Amanda's material needs would be managed more efficiently.
He also said that the actress currently has no permanent residence or the funds to rent her own apartment. "My goal is to get [Amanda] permanent adequate housing," he stated, before adding that he hoped a judge would grant his request as early as Friday, November 7.
