Boxing legend Muhammad Ali was hospitalized with a mild case pneumonia on Saturday but he’s currently in stable condition.
His rep said Ali is being treated by a team of doctors. Thankfully, the illness was discovered early and the prognosis is good but he is still expected to stay in the undisclosed hospital for a short time.
Ali, 72, who has been battling Parkinson’s Disease since 1984, retired from boxing three years prior. He is an Olympic gold medalist and three-time heavyweight champion, who dedicated his life to social justice after his retirement. In 2005, he received the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
