Madonna was blasted by fans on Friday for comparing herself to Martin Luther King Jr, Nelson Mandela and #BobMarley in a bid to promote her upcoming 13th studio album Rebel Heart. The singer photoshopped pics of the iconic black leaders all wrapped in black cord to mimic the cover image of her album.
She captioned the pic of King: “This #rebelheart had a dream!” For Mandela she wrote: “This #rebelheart fought for freedom!” And for Marley she wrote: “This #rebelheart sang about ONE LOVE!”
Fans then fired back at Madge, writing, “This is pure stupidity,” and “Grow up Madonna,” while another blatantly asked: “Bitch what the f—k?”
Before sharing the images, Madonna warned her haters saying:
”Dear haters, I have so much more for you to be mad at…be patient!”
Madonna is no stranger to controversy. Last month, she outraged fans when she compared the leak of her upcoming album to “rape” and “terrorism.” In January last year, she apologized after using the N-word to caption an Instagram pic of her (white) son Rocco.
What do y'all think about Madonna’s latest posts?
