Former NBA player and analyst Greg Anthony, 47, was suspended indefinitely on Saturday after being arrested for soliciting a prostitute in Washington, D.C. on Friday.
According to law enforcement officials, Anthony was arrested at 5:46 p.m. on Friday on a misdemeanor solicitation charge that is punishable by up to 180 days in jail. He was released from custody late on Friday.
Yesterday, a CBS spokeswoman announced that he “will not be working again for CBS this season. He has been suspended indefinitely.”
In a statement, Greg apologized saying:
“With this lapse of judgment, I embarrassed many, including myself. I will work to regain the trust that I have lost, and the first step is saying that I am sorry.”
Greg played in the NBA from 1991 to 2002. He became a commentator for ESPN after his retirement. In 2008, he switched to college basketball coverage and CBS.
