#DianaRoss Forces #EvanRoss To Get A Prenup To Protect Her $500m Fortune

Diana Ross, who is worth over $500m, reportedly forced her son Evan Ross to sign a prenup with #AshleySimpson before their wedding on August 31, according to Star magazine. Apparently, Evan was happy to marry #JessicaSimpson's little sister, without a prenup but his mother had other plans.

Ashlee Simpson,29, and Evan Ross, 26, tied the knot over Labor Day weekend in a lavish ceremony at the Greenwich, Conn., estate of his famous mom, Diana, but the picture-perfect day didn’t come without major drama.

According to insiders, the legendary singer had her lawyers draw up a prenuptial agreement that was more than 300 pages long in order to protect her estimated $500 million net worth. “If Ashlee didn’t sign that document, the wedding was never going to happen,” says a source. “She’s far from poor, but her money pales in comparison to what Evan will inherit one day.”

While the actor didn’t want a prenup, Diana, 70, who’s been married twice before, refused to take a chance.

Evan and Ashlee Simpson got married on Sunday at his mother, #DianaRoss’ Greenwich, Connecticut home. In an interview, Diana, who officiated the ceremony and also serenaded the couple, told The Insider With Yahoo:

“We had a beautiful rainbow surrounding us, loving family and friends, great music, great speeches from caring friends, and joyful children dancing the night away. I thank everyone who supported us on the spectacular day and our neighbors who were kind enough to let us have fun."

"We had great friends that travelled from Norway, London, Switzerland, and from all over the world. Wishing Evan and Ashlee congratulations. I want only love, happiness, and joy for my son and his bride, added Diana, who also performed her hit song Endless Love at the reception.”

Ashlee's sister, #JessicaSimpson was one of the bridesmaids.

Ashlee Simpson, 29, and Evan Ross, 26, got hitched at the Greenwich, Connecticut estate owned by his famous mother, #DianaRoss, on Sunday, August 31.

Although the rain delayed the start of the ceremony, Ashlee, her bridesmaids and her sister #JessicaSimpso, who was her matron of honor, all waited on the mansion's front steps for the rain to subside.

PEOPLE writes:

"They waited for the rain to stop, but it only added to the beauty of the property and ceremony," a source told PEOPLE

The couple had a Bohemian-style wedding but stuck to traditional vows during the ceremony, which Diana officiated. Ashlee wore a non-traditional gown which featured of a crop top, lace skirt and Neil Lane jewelry while Evan wore Dolce and Gabbana.

During the wedding the couple stuck to their family-first approach, Ashlee tapped son Bronx, 5, to walk her down the aisle. "Everyone was crying," the source says.

Jessica's kids, Maxwell, 2, and Ace, 1, served as flower girl and ring bearer, respectively while a choir sang "Ain't No Mountain High Enough."

Afterward, Evan’s mum, legendary singer, Diana Ross, serenaded them with her 1981 hit, "Endless Love."

"When Diana got up to sing at the reception, she surprised everyone, even her kids!" a source said. "She was the only one on the dance floor and everyone rushed to see her."

Their bohemian chic-themed reception  was designed by wedding planner Mindy Weiss and featured dreamcatchers and vintage fabric covering the tent walls. Guests were served salad made up of burrata and mozzarella cheeses, prosciutto, grilled vegetables, garlic croutons and baby arugula, dressed with olive oil.

Later, the buffet-style dinner included sliced beef fillets, baked butternut squash polenta with smoked gouda cheese, chanterelle mushrooms, roasted cauliflower salad, Southern-style fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, deviled eggs with bacon, hush puppies and pasta.

The newlyweds wrapped up their wedding weekend on Monday with a big home style barbecue, also at Diana's home.
