The photo caused an uproar when it first surfaced as it glorified the ‘heroin chic’ trend of the early nineties:

Jaime, now 35, previously said she got involved in drugs when she started modeling at age 14. Her boyfriend at the time, Davide, possibly died of a combination his kidney illness and excessive heroin use, although his autopsy was inconclusive.
