#MischaBarton Sued For $320K After Ditching Movie Role To Party In Europe

Mischa Barton, who hasn't had a hit movie since 2006, has been sued for failing to complete a film project because she was too busy partying in Europe.

According to TMZ, the producers of a movie called “Promoted” filed the lawsuit claiming that Mischa failed to fulfill her part and caused them thousands of dollars in losses. They attempted to contact her about the March 4th start date and also about sizing her costumes but got no response.

Mischa’s mother contacted the producers on March 3rd via email saying that "Mischa is still in Europe and won't be available until the 20th of this month."

The actress is now being sued for the $20,000 advance she got, $200,000 in marketing expenses, and $100,000 for losses incurred due to her lack of commitment.

"The O.C." star Mischa Barton has been hit with a default notice and may lose her Beverly Hills mansion if she doesn’t pay up over $100K in back mortgage payments.

TMZ got hold of the foreclosure documents informing Mischa that she skipped more than 100K in payments on the house which she bought for $6.4M in 2005 and took out a loan for $4.2 million.

Mischa tried to sell the property in 2000 and it was listed at $8.695M but no one bought it. Last year, she tried to lease it for $35K/month but that didn’t work out either.
