Neil Patrick Harris will host the Academy Awards‘ aka #TheOscars on Feb. 22, 2015  and the first promo for the event was released on Thursday. In the clip, the actor shared his idea of the perfect Xmas gift. This will be Neil‘s first time hosting the Oscars but he previously hosted the #TonyAwards four times and the #EmmyAwards twice. Neil Patrick Harris is set to host The Academy Awards 2015, commonly known as The Oscars. Neil revealed the news on Wednesday, via an Instagram video, which shows him on the phone saying, “I’m in, nice” before crossing “Host the Oscars” off a bucket list. Check out the clip below. Neil previously hosted the Tony Awards and Emmy Awards.

#NeilPatrickHarris & Longtime Partner #DavidBurtka Got Hitched In Italy

Neil Patrick Harris married his longtime partner David Burtka in an intimate ceremony at a castle in Perugia, Italy on Saturday. The wedding was officiated by “How I Met Your Mother” producer and director Pam Fryman, who is the couple’s close friend. Elton John performed at the reception.

On Monday, Harris shared a wedding pic via Twitter and wrote:

The two, who announced their engagement on Twitter in 2011, have been together for more than 10 year and are parents to 3-year-old twins, Gideon and Harper.
