#R.Kelly, On His Son Coming Out As A Transsexual: "Don't Call Her My Son"

#R.Kelly

R. Kelly is in denial! Earlier this month, R. Kelly's 14-year-old child Jaya came out as a transgender boy and changed his name to Jay.

Kelly kept mum on the news until this morning when he was asked about it during a live radio interview with Chicago's WCGI. His response was

"You don't really wanna open it up by saying my daughter is becoming my son," he said. "Don't even give the blogs that kind of credit. You know what I'm saying? Real talk."

He implied that the news of his son was a rumor that wasn't to be believed, despite the fact that Jay came out personally, in his own words, via his Ask.fm account. At the end of the interview, said:

“You save money so your kids can go to college—no matter what they are or who they are. They're still your kids, you gotta support them. You gotta know there's a back story. There's a background. That's why you can't judge nobody.

Why #LadyGaga Cancelled Duet Video With R. Kelly

Earlier this year, Lady Gaga cancelled the video for her duet with R. Kelly, “Do What U Want.

LadyGaga Cancelled Duet Video With R. Kelly

The video was shot in September for a December release but after weeks of delays, it was mysteriously scrapped, and in January, Gaga posted an angry message on her Web site, blaming bad management and a tight schedule releasing the sexually charged clip.

But now, Page Six  claims there were other factors - controversies around Kelly and Richardson.

The raunchy video starring Gaga and Kelly was directed by controversial photographer Terry Richardson and around the time it was scrapped, Richardson was accused of sexual misconduct on his sets by several models, and an online petition asking big brands to stop hiring him was launched on change.org. (Richardson denies the allegations against him in a New York magazine cover story this week).

Also, in December Kelly faced backlash over an in-depth Village Voice interview with veteran Chicago writer Jim DeRogatis, in which he chronicled “stomach-churning” sexual assault suits against Kelly in the 1990s, saying there were “dozens of girls with harrowing lawsuits.”

A source told Page Six:

“Gaga had a video directed by an alleged sexual predator, starring another sexual predator. With the theme, ‘I’m going to do whatever I want with your body?’ It was literally an ad for rape.”

Wow! It sounds like Lady Gaga dodged a bullet by not releasing the clip!
