He was expected to be best man, so some people were shocked when Jay Z and Beyoncé skipped Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s wedding. Instead of heading to Florence, Italy for the nuptials, the couple enjoyed a quiet weekend together in The Hamptons. The two stars were seen arriving back in New York City on Monday and hopping off a helicopter.
Beyoncé appeared to be wearing a white tank top and jeans, and minders were spotted helping her and her luggage out of the chopper. Meanwhile Jay Z wore a patriotic American flag T-shirt to mark Memorial Day, along with stonewashed jeans and white trainers, and a black jumper slung over his shoulders. Their two-year-old daughter Blue Ivy was not seen, although an owl backpack suggested she might have been lifted out of the helicopter just after her mother stepped off it.
As Kim and Kanye’s wedding got under way on Saturday, Beyoncé shared a make-up free selfie from bed, while also showing off her long braids. But the 32-year-old did take her time to send the newlyweds her well wishes. She posted a photo to Instagram of Kim, Kanye and North along with the words: ‘Wishing you a lifetime of unconditional love. God bless your beautiful family.’
It was previously claimed by Radar Online that Beyonce declared that 'under no circumstances will she be a part of any filming on the wedding day if it’s for Kim’s reality show.'
