She is known for her flirty TV interviews. And Susana Reid seemed to be having a very friendly chat with Tom Cruise at the ridiculously early 6.45am premiere of his new film, Edge Of Tomorrow. The pair were pictured together on the red carpet as Tom Cruise and other stars made their way into the BFI Imax cinema in London. Filming for the interview for Good Morning Britain, Susanna kindly brought a cup of tea along for the Hollywood star to give him a boost on what will be a very busy day. The pair held eye contact as they spoke before Tom leaned in an whispered something to the brunette beauty. He then gave the 43-year-old a hug and she certainly looked happy to be in the star's embrace.
Tom thanked fans for making the early start and defying the rain to join him at the start of a red carpet race that takes him from London to Paris and New York within 24 hours to promote his latest film. Fans started arriving outside the BFI Imax in central London in the early hours of this morning to get a prime spot to see the action. Cruise told the crowd: 'Thank you so much for being here at the earliest premiere ever.' Asked how he convinced the cast and crew to attempt the triple premiere, he said: 'Are you kidding? They couldn't wait. London, Paris, New York...'
Cruise and his co-star Emily Blunt were in the capital for the first of three world premieres of Edge Of Tomorrow. They will fly to Paris in time for the premiere at 2pm local time before and moving on to New York as the red carpet is rolled out again for a later than usual 10pm premiere.
Speaking before the premiere Blunt said the idea was typical of Cruise, saying: 'When I heard about the premiere idea of three in one day I just said, "that's Tom's idea".' Joining the eager fans who turned up for the London premiere included actor Tom Hardy and his fiance Charlotte Riley posed on the red carpet while Joan Armstrong and Sammy Winward also made an appearance.
Edge of Tomorrow is a combination of action, science-fiction, a war movie and a love story. With the tagline, Live, Die, Repeat, Cruise and Blunt star as soldiers fighting off an alien attack, only to be killed then forced to relive the battle over and over until they come closer to defeating their enemies.The international cast also includes Bill Paxton, Brendan Gleeson, Noah Taylor, Kick Gurry, Dragomir Mrsic, Charlotte Riley, Jonas Armstrong, Franz Drameh, Masayoshi Haneda and Tony Way.Edge of Tomorrow is in U.K. cinemas on May 30 and opens in the U.S. on June 6.
