The battle between Kesha and Dr. Luke got complicated on Tuesday after the music producer filed a new lawsuit against Kesha’s mother, Pebe Sebert for fabricating her daughter’s sexual assault claims against him.
Kesha recently filed a lawsuit against Dr. Luke, claiming he sexually abused and drugged her throughout their 10-year working relationship. Dr. Luke hit back by suing her for making up the story and extorting him in a bid to get out of their contract.
Now, TMZ reports that in the new lawsuit filed yesterday, Dr. Luke claimed Sebert encouraged her daughter to make up the sexual abuse story to force him to release Kesha from her legal contract. He also alleged that Sebert tried to extort him and threatened to continue doing so until he let Kesha go.
Dr. Luke is now seeking more than $75,000 in compensatory and punitive damages.
