In a new interview with Greek People Magazine, Lady Gaga reignited her feud with Madonna by accusing her of not “helping younger artists.” Gaga was asked who her biggest musical influences are and she replied:
“David Bowie, Queen, Freddie Mercury, and Michael Jackson. I would like to say Madonna, but let me tell you something. If I was an established artist, I would love to help younger artists.”
The interviewer then asked: “What do you mean, that Madonna has no soul?.” And mother monster replied: “You said it, not me!”
Madonna previously accused Gaga of copying her song “Express Yourself” for her track “Born This Way.” She also included a mashup of Express Yourself, Born This Way, and She's Not Me while on the road with her 2012 MDNA Tour.
Earlier this year, Madonna appeared to diss Gaga in leaked lyrics from her track Heartbreak City. She sang:
"You're a copycat, where is my royalty? You're a pretty girl, I'll give you that. But stealing my recipe, it's an ugly look."
