Actor Stephen Collins, who is already being investigated by two law enforcement agencies for child molestation, is now being investigated by another agency after a woman came forward claiming the "7th Heaven" actor exposed himself to her when she was 13-years-old.
On Thursday, (October 19) the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department confirmed it opened an investigation after the woman was referred to them by the New York PD. The alleged victim was a relative of one Collins' neighbors, when he lived in West Hollywood, CA in 1983.
In a statement, the LASD said Special Victims Unit detectives are investigating the actor for indecent exposure and “crime of annoying or molesting” a child. The LASD urged anyone with information relating to the case to come forward.
"Special Victims Bureau detectives are working with New York Police Department authorities on this case," the statement read. "There is no further information at this time. The investigation is active and ongoing."
Meanwhile, yesterday news emerged that Collins recently starred as a pedophile priest in a new short film, Penance. Collins described his role in the movie as "very intense, very quiet in a different way."
