A GOP staffer named Elizabeth Lauten has apologized after criticizing Sasha and Malia Obama's outfits and saying they were classless teenagers with no good role model. Lauten made the comment in a Facebook post after watching President Obama‘s Thanksgiving press conference. Read it below.
President Obama's eldest daughter, Malia Obama, 16, showed up with pals for Chance The Rapper's gig at Lollapalooza music festival in Chicago last Sunday.
She tried to blend in with the crowd but failed as the Secret Service agents around her were a dead giveaway because they didn't fit in with the crowd and stayed close to her throughout the show, according to TMZ.
After the concert, she left the park on foot with her friends. Lollapalooza music festival took place in Grant Park, Chicago for 3 days and over 300,000 people in attended the gig.
Earlier this month, Michelle Obama called a photo agency and got it to take down pics of her daughter after paparazzi photographed Malia walking into a restaurant but she couldn’t prevent this photo from being published online.
A concertgoer took the pic of Michelle and her daughters, Malia and Sasha at #Beyonce and #JayZ's concert last night at Soldier Field in Chicago and later shared it on Instagram.
This goes to show that #thewhitehouse can’t really protect the girls from public spotlight all the time…unless they ban camera phones at concerts.
Malia Obama has been doing an internship on Halle Berry’s TV show for the last few weeks and she was photographed with a pal as they left a trendy L.A. restaurant on Monday night. But when the White House found out about the pics, they went into combat mode to destroy the photos.
The photog who took the pics had already sent them to the AKM-GSI agency to sell and the agency displayed the pics on its website for the media to buy but several hours later, The First Lady's Office called AKM-GSI and asked for the pics to be taken down and all copies deleted, according to TMZ.
Apparently, #MichelleObama’s people told the agency they had been promised by several media outlets that the girls would not be photographed without their dad being present. So AKM-GSI sent an email to the media with the subject, "URGENT SET KILL NOTICE," and a message that read:
"Please delete the set of Malia Obama from your archive. The set was sent around earlier today. We cannot distribute this set."
