Several German and Dutch publications reported the news regarding the 74-year-old, who resides in Switzerland. But Tina Turner's spokesperson has blasted the claims, and assured: 'The fact is that Tina enjoys excellent health.'
German news source Express had claimed that Turner's friend and driver Albert B. Cologne confirmed: 'She had a mild stroke, but is well on the road to recovery.' Cologne is also quoted as saying: 'Tina had to cancel her holiday to recover, she has already managed a smile for her partner Erwin Bach.' The website has since removed their story.
Turner's representative has stated that the star never planned a holiday to Carinthia, which she is said to have cancelled, and has never had a driver called Albert B. The Proud Mary hit-maker was rumoured to have had a stroke last February, and that time it was her friend Oprah Winfrey who denied it.'Tina had a bad flu weeks ago. She’s recovered. And LIVING life!' Oprah tweeted at the time.
Turner has lived in Switzerland with husband Erwin, a German music executive, for several years. She looked happy and healthy on Thursday when she attended the launch of her new beyond album in Zurich. Turner was as vibrant as ever in a red and white dress while greeting her guests with hugs and kisses, as loyal Erwin stood by her side.
