Cher has been sued for allegedly telling a black dancer named Kevin Wilson, that there were too many black people on stage during her concerts but the singer denies the allegation.
According to court docs obtained by TMZ, Cher was auditioning dancers for her current "Dressed to Kill" tour when Wilson said he liked "a minority female dancer." Wilson claims Cher responded, "We have too much color on stage." Cher then told him to find a white, blonde dancer and instructed him "not to cast anymore dark skinned black dancers on the tour."
Wilson further claims that after a show in Louisville back in June this year, a male dancer invited a female fan to his hotel room and allegedly got sexually aggressive. Cher tried to cover it up by keeping the male dancer in the show and firing three chorographers, including Wilson.
The three guys were told that they were fired due to budget cuts but they didn’t buy it because the tour was a huge success, grossing a reported $54.9 million. Also, Cher's costumes alone cost $100,000 each. Wilson is now suing her for racial discrimination and retaliation.
Cher's rep told TMZ that "These are ridiculous allegations. They couldn't be further from the truth." Cher's lawyer said the racial statement was "untrue and categorically denied. To attribute such a statement to Cher is absurd."
